10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Reseda Elementary School's 100th anniversary celebration was a community festivity on the school campus that included a retrospect of its 100 Years of Learning. All funds raised from the event supported academic intervention and enrichment programs, our robotics team, and other student motivational activities.

The event comprised of special guests including city and school officials, school, student and teacher alumni, Reseda ES artifacts, music, food, and—drumroll—the opening of a time capsule that was buried 50 years ago. Hundreds turned out for this once-in-a-lifetime celebration right in the heart of Reseda.

Since 1916, Reseda Elementary School has been a beacon of pride in our community. As a proud "California Distinguished School" and "Title 1 Academic Achievement School," serving a predominantly low-resource student population from pre-K through fifth grade representing a rich diversity of cultures and 15 languages, Reseda has continuously garnered accolades from the school district for its academic excellence and prompted former Superintendent Ray Cortines to name the school a "pocket of excellence."

We've accomplished this over the course of many years thanks to the commitment of our principals, teachers, students, parents, community partners, and volunteers. We are a school committed to the academic success of our students.
