The Youth Services after school program is available from school dismissal to 6 p.m.

Youth Services (YS)

Youth Services (YS) provides a safe place during the critical hours after school for students in grades 2nd through 5th at no cost to families. Students who drop in are provided with supervised and organized games and activities in a safe environment. Youth Services is a permissive program. Students sign in and leave the program at their own will. Students are expected to abide by all rules and conduct themselves in an appropriate manner. If students become disruptive, they may lose the opportunity of participating in the program.
The program emphasizes on supervised enrichment and physical activity. Students are provided with a daily homework time where they are given a designated place and time to work on their homework. Staff members help students stay focused and ensure that homework is ready for parents/guardians to review with their children.

  • Students participating must be able to participate independently in a supervised environment.
  • Students must be able to arrive and leave the program at their own discretion with the instruction of their parents/guardians.
  • Any child not picked up or allowed to walk home before the conclusion of the program will be considered "unattended" and staff members will begin "late child procedures."
  • Failure to consistently arrange the appropriate supervision for the student may result in loss of privilege of participating in the program.
  • In order to participate, a student must be approved and an after school program application/agreement form must be completed and returned to any Youth Services staff member on site.
