History

Founded in 1916, Reseda Elementary School was and still is the heart of the surrounding community. We are a proud "California Distinguished School" and "Title 1 Academic Achievement School." Reseda serves a predominantly low socioeconomic student population from TK through fifth grade consisting of a rich diversity of cultures and 15 languages. We have received many accolades from the school district for academic excellence prompting former Superintendent Ray Cortines to refer to Reseda as "a pocket of excellence."

We've accomplished this over the course of many years thanks to the commitment of our principals, teachers, students, parents, community partners, and volunteers. We are a school committed to the academic success of our students.
